Red Morgan Center Replace Fun Spot Building 2452

Coffman is proud to have delivered a one-stop shop family fun center at Fairchild Airforce Base (FAFB)! This design-build project transformed a 40,000 sq ft building into a vibrant new recreation center, offering a variety of activities for airbase families.

Coffman provided civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and surveying services for design, survey, abatement, demolition, construction, and closeout activities required to provide a new “fun spot” at Fairchild Airforce Base (FAFB).

Approximately 60% of the 40,000 sf building was renovated, which included new repairs to maintain the structural integrity of the facility, design of a new entry vestibule, restrooms, kitchen delivery area, demolition of non-load bearing walls, ceilings, and finishes to provide an open flexible space for the required functions in the indoor recreation space.

Specialty design work encompassed a wide range of items such as sports court infrastructure, a children’s play area, party rooms, snack and sports pub dining, event storage, and a commercial walk-in refrigerator and freezer. Coffman provided LED lighting, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, fire alarm, mass notification, communications, and finishes for the new space. Coffman also provided the design for a new parking lot, driveway, and sidewalk with ADA accessibility.
