Coffman Engineers has a strong history of successful design-build projects, including experience with multiple current progressive design-build projects. Coffman has worked on design-build projects throughout the United States and internationally, understanding the key to collaborating with all team members from initial programming and pre-design, through design and construction.

Our experience has shown that strong teamwork and sharing of ideas with everyone involved including the Owner and key stakeholders, contractor and sub-contractors, and the design team have resulted in the most successful projects. Our team members have experience actively participating in Target Value Design charrettes and pull planning sessions. We are accustomed to compressed schedules and fast-track delivery of the finished deliverables, including early site packages and projects with several submittal packages. Our Coffman team has worked on many significant design-build projects where the contractor and owner have both benefited with shortened overall project schedules, lower total costs, and creative design and construction solutions. Coffman is fully committed to successful design-build partnerships and has the specialized experience and capacity it takes to make it happen.

Our team’s approach to design-build work is deeply rooted in the best practices set forth by the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA). As part of our holistic design-build training program, we encourage our staff to achieve their DBIA-certification. We are also invested in this organization on a regional and national level and have several team members who serve as advocates and board members for their local and regional chapters.
