Fairbanks Surgery Center

The Fairbanks Surgery Center specializes in outpatient surgeries and serves patients in the surrounding Alaska community. Coffman provided mechanical, civil, electrical, and plumbing engineering design for the 38,500 sf building housing an ambulatory surgery center and a medical office building. Design features include CCTV cameras in the surgery room enabling nurses to monitor the operations and provide preemptive assistance when necessary. Decorative and energy efficient lighting fixtures are used throughout the center and a backup generator was designed along with fire alarm, security, data network, telephone, background music, paging, and nurse call systems.
