Wilson Boulevard Fire Alarm Upgrade

Coffman has completed numerous projects at The Towers (1000 and 1100 Wilson Boulevard) including the DC Metro Office’s first project, the rooftop deck project at 1100 which won a 2019 Award of Excellence from NAIOP Northern Virginia. Most recently, Coffman provided scoping documentation for the replacement of the fire detection system, bidding and procurement oversight for the contractor, and construction administration through system acceptance. Coffman worked closely with the building owner, contractor, and authority having jurisdiction throughout the permitting and construction process. With over 60 occupied floors combined between the two buildings, coordination of the installation and testing was a key goal identified in order to have a successful project. An open line of communication, managed by Coffman, with all stakeholders was vital to the project’s success.
