UC San Diego “The Rita” Student Residences

“The Rita”, also known as Health Sciences Graduate Housing, is comprised of two wings. The first wing is seven stories tall and the other is nine stories tall with 226 fully furnished apartments configured into two-bedroom units. Amenities include a green roof, on-site conference room, study and meeting rooms, gymnasium, and laundry.

Design-build project delivery enabled the team to minimize project costs and accelerate the construction schedule and students moved into The Rita one year ahead of schedule.
