Twenty by Six

Located in downtown San Diego, the 450 B Street project consists of the demolition of an existing one story bank branch building and the construction of a new 88,000 sf, six story, steel-framed commercial office building with a concrete core wall lateral system.

The new building is located on top of an existing three-level subterranean garage. Additionally, the existing second level plaza was demolished and replaced by a ground level plaza which includes a new trellis, landscaping, and outdoor gathering spaces. A fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) structural strengthening system was incorporated at the ground level slab to support the new plaza and building loads.
