Coffman provided structural engineering for the $17.4M, 3.6-acre Walkabout Australia project featuring Australian multi-species exhibits at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.

Walkabout Australia takes guests through four different types of native habitats: grassland, rainforest, wetlands, and desert. The design included a themed two-story holding/guest viewing structure, CMU kitchen/prep building, concrete/CMU holding buildings for various buildings, themed shotcrete rocks and boulders, site walls, elevated timber bridges, and walkways.
