Highland Middle School

Highland Middle School is a new $45 million, two-story, 118,250 sf campus in Mead, Washington that houses 800 students from grades 6-8. The new school responds to the demand for more middle schools in the unique Five Mile Prairie neighborhood. The school is divided into smaller learning communities and provides a new space for 6th grade students from nearby elementary schools.

Coffman provided civil, structural, and electrical engineering design, and land surveying services, including topographic services, boundary ROW surveying, and construction staking for this project. Attention to detail and careful coordination with the entire design team was essential to successfully bring the different building materials, elevations, planes, and building systems together.
