FTG232 Underground Infrastructure Assessment

Located in interior Alaska, Fort Greely needed an assessment due to infiltration and inflow concerns identified within the below-grade systems of the 1,200-acre missile defense field. Coffman inspected the underground infrastructure, including electrical, communications, and utilidor systems.

The initial project task included a site visit in the spring where 459 manhole structures were inspected using a CUES SPiDER Scanner and other 360-degree cameras. Video and data analysis provided a short list of 65 structures deemed to have significant defects. These structures were chosen for manned entry inspection on a secondary site visit later in the fall. Coffman completed the project with a recommendations report.
