Civil Department Grows in Los Angeles and Orange County Offices

Our Los Angeles and Orange County offices continue to expand our locally offered engineering services.

We are excited to welcome Steve Witherow, PE, who is joining a growing team of civil engineers in Southern California and across the company. Steve brings invaluable experience and technical knowledge to Coffman and will be leading our civil team in Los Angeles. He will sit in our Downtown Los Angeles office and serve as a local resource for clients in the LA-OC area.

About Steve

Steve is an accomplished civil engineering professional with more than 20 years of progressive experience in project management, civil engineering, and construction. He is a natural team leader with a demonstrated ability to build strong project teams using internal staff and effective collaboration with other consultants. He has acted as business and engineering/construction manager for programming and project entitlements, engineering, permitting, and construction. He has a diverse background that includes the following areas of practice and expertise: large and small commercial development, design-build, retail, multifamily residential development, healthcare facilities (HCAI), university and education (DSA), justice, federal programs, construction oversight, public infrastructure/drainage, and roadway improvements. Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, traveling, fishing, and any ocean-related activity. Join us as we welcome Steve to the team!

About Coffman’s LA/OC Offices

Our Los Angeles office was created when we joined forces with a small, local structural engineering firm in 2001. This was our first office in California and added valuable structural engineering and seismic design services to the company. Since that time, Coffman’s presence has grown to include three regional offices and offers clients convenient and attentive multidiscipline engineering services, including structural, civil, fire protection, electrical, mechanical, life safety, seismic risk, and project management services.

Our regional offices are comprised of locations in Encino, Downtown LA, and Orange County, and are managed by Jonathan Wirthlin, SE (Encino), Steven Dannaway, PE (Downtown LA), and Christopher Haight, SE (Orange County).
