Christopher Haight, PE, SE

Principal, General Manager

Orange County

Meet Chris.

Chris is a principal, licensed structural engineer, and the general manager of Coffman’s Orange County office. He combines his knowledge of local building design with his experience abroad to lead and manage the growing office. Chris is a licensed Structural Engineer in four states and the engineer of record on projects across the Western United States.

Chris joined Coffman in 2017 when Hope-Amundson, Inc. joined Coffman. As the operations manager of the Orange County office, Christopher led the office from a staff of four structural engineers to a multidiscipline engineering team. In 2024, Chris became the general manager and provides local leadership to manage daily operations, maintain responsive services, and implement a broader business strategy for the Orange County area. He will continue to grow the office, adding staff to the existing structural, mechanical, and fire protection engineering groups while expanding into additional disciplines.

In 2012, Chris had the opportunity to live and work in Christchurch, New Zealand to assist in the city’s recovery from three devastating earthquakes. He performed numerous seismic assessments and retrofits on damaged buildings and homes. While there, he grew a small engineering office from four to 12 and expanded the engineering expertise throughout the county.

Chris combines his passion for structures and architecture with his love of traveling. He has been fortunate to visit some of the world’s most iconic buildings and structures with his family. When Chris isn’t traveling, he enjoys attending concerts with his wife and cheering on his beloved Clippers and Angels at games with his children.
