WSDOT Administration Building

Serving the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Northwest Region, and in collaboration with Hill International, Coffman provided progressive design-build conventional schematic engineering services for the development phase of the 156,000 sf Dayton Avenue building infrastructure improvement project. Our project scope included preliminary mechanical, electrical, and plumbing load calculations, as well as equipment selection and coordination to meet space requirements on the roof and in the utility rooms.

Our team prepared a preliminary HVAC flow diagram including a low-voltage riser diagram for communication, television, fire alarm, and access control, and a Fire Protection Engineering (FPE) summary of the existing fire alarm and sprinkler systems condition. The project involved taking into consideration that staff would be working in the facility during the actual renovation process.
