Tustin Lexus

The Tustin Lexus dealership remodel involved updating the interior and exterior of the one-story, approximately 52,500 gsf dealership, as well as adding new amenities and services for customers. Renovations included the installation of new flooring, lighting, and fixtures throughout the dealership’s showroom, offices, and service area. The exterior of the dealership was also updated with new signage, landscaping, and a redesigned entrance. One of the main focuses was to create a more modern, comfortable, and customer-friendly environment. The dealership added a new customer lounge, a new cafe, and expanded their service department to provide more convenient services to customers.

Coffman served as the structural engineering team for the remodel. The construction consisted primarily of wood framing at the roof and 2,900 sf mezzanine, with a combination of wood shearwalls and CMU walls for the lateral system. The intent of the structural design was to minimize impact to existing framing and lateral resisting elements and to not trigger a complete building seismic upgrade.
