Tripler Army Medical Center Central Plant Retrofit

Engineer of record and commissioning agent for the retrofit and complete controls upgrade for an existing 2,820-ton central plant.  Two 900-ton chillers were removed and replaced and the DDC was retrofitted. For the DDC retrofit, the existing points and controllers were identified as being changed and a new sequence of operation was provided that optimized this plant for optimum energy usage.

This project was interesting because the large energy optimization component put a great deal of emphasis on the sequence of operations.  Commissioning was performed to the UFGS Specification 23 08 00.00 10 for the Army Corps of Engineers.

Work was completed as ABBOTT Engineering.
