SDCCD Mesa College Mathematics & Natural Sciences Building

Structural engineering services for a four-story, 206,000 sf steel moment and brace frame educational facility adjacent to the Learning and Resource Center on the Mesa College campus. The design-build project houses the mathematics, biology, chemistry, and physical sciences departments, as well as the administrative/common functions. Spaces include classrooms, offices, laboratories, support spaces, a greenhouse, and an astronomy observation area. The project is the largest building built on the Mesa College Campus with Propositions S and N construction bond funds. Upon completion, the project was awarded LEED Silver Certification by the US Green Building Council.
