SDCCD Mesa College Mathematics & Natural Sciences Building

Coffman Engineers (as Hope-Amundson) provided structural engineering services for the new Science Building on San Diego’s Miramar College Campus. The new educational facility is connected to the college’s existing science building by a second floor bridge. The 46,500 sf, two-story steel-framed structure features lecture rooms, nine instructional laboratories, supply storage areas, classrooms, 30 private faculty office and several conference, collaboration and break areas. The roof level houses a greenhouse, observatory stands and posts for 12 telescopes and a telescope storage warehouse
