San Diego Association of Governments – Sabre Springs Parking Structure

The design-build parking structure addresses the growing demand associated with a high-frequency bus system along the I-15 corridor. The 170,000 sf structure consists of four levels and utilizes long span post-tensioned concrete construction with special moment resisting frames providing lateral resistance.

San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) administered the project as part of the 2010 Regional Transportation Improvement Project, a multibillion dollar program funded by federal, state, TransNet local sales tax and other local funding sources. The project was awarded the 2015 “Project of the Year” award by the San Diego & Imperial Counties Chapter of the American Public Works Association.
