Repair Fleet Training N25-A

Coffman provided fire protection engineering and life safety code consulting services for the 87,000 sf Repair Fleet Training N25A Renovation design-build project in Norfolk, Virginia. As part of the 3-phase renovation, which included portions of the building that were greater than 100 years old, Coffman provided life safety design oversight and consulting, fire alarm and mass notification system design services, and fire suppression system design services. The historic nature of the building created unique design and construction challenges that Coffman worked through with the architect, general contractor, and NAVFAC representatives. Construction services included Qualified Fire Protection Engineer (QFPE) inspection services and detailed commissioning in accordance with UFC 3-600-01 requirements.
