Durango Resort Casino Phase II Expansion

The newly opened Durango Resort Casino, which debuted in December 2023, has quickly established itself as a premier destination in the Las Vegas area, offering a dynamic blend of entertainment, hospitality, and gaming. The property features a vibrant casino, a diverse selection of restaurants and lounges, expansive ballrooms and meeting rooms, a high-rise hotel tower, a central plant, as well as ample back-of-house facilities, and a parking structure.

Coffman is providing critical fire protection engineering support to facilitate the expansion’s compliance with all building and safety requirements with respect to fire and life safety. Coffman’s scope includes:

Building and Fire Code Consulting: Assessing the design of the expanded areas to facilitate full compliance with local building and fire safety codes, addressing all necessary infrastructure improvements to accommodate the larger spaces.
Fire/Life Safety Report: Development of the required fire/life safety report for Clark County, covering both the existing and expanded areas so that all new features of the property meet the fire and safety standards set by local regulations.
Podium Master Egress Drawings: Updating the podium master egress drawings to include the new expansion areas, helping to clearly define emergency evacuation routes and adhere to safety protocols.
