Reid Park Zoo Expedition Tanzania

This three-acre expansion project is comprised of an Elephant Barn constructed of masonry and steel framing and accompanying holding facility, shotcrete work and retaining walls. The project also includes expansion and improvement to pedestrian access to the exhibit, which houses five elephants relocated from the San Diego Zoo.  The elephant facilities address the physical and psychological needs of the animals as well as create educational opportunities for Zoo guests.
