Murdoch’s Ranch and Home Supply

Murdoch’s Ranch and Home Supply is a farm and ranch retailer with 40 stores spanning six states. Coffman served as the prime design firm managing a team of engineers and architects for the design and engineering services of a distribution center warehouse. For this design-build project, Coffman provided structural and fire protection engineering services from our Bozeman office, and project management services working closely with the general contractor. The site for this complex is 21.12 acres west of Butte in the Montana Connections Business Development Park near the Montana Port of Entry.

The project included complete site development followed by vertical construction of the 80,000 sf warehouse and 2,000 sf of administrative spaces. The high-piled storage needs at the warehouse required the design of an automatic fire sprinkler system. Coffman also provided engineering design services for Murdoch’s Ranch stores in Bozeman, Helena, Hamilton, Belgrade, and Anaconda.
