Madigan Army Medical Center Terminal Unit Replacement

Serving as the U.S. Army’s second largest medical facility since 1987, the Madigan Army Medical Center required major upgrades to its mechanical systems. Implemented in a two phase process, the first phase included site investigations and review of original documents in order to provide multiple options to the owner, listing life cycle cost, integration into the existing plant with potential for future expansion, and a corresponding budget cost for each option. Phase II included mechanical, electrical, and structural design to expand the chiller plant capacity and the emergency cooling system, including the emergency power system, and renovation of multiple cooling systems for data rooms. Coffman provided mechanical, electrical, and structural services for both phases of the upgrades, working with the client to develop a program to meet their needs within their budget all the way through project completion.
