Chaffey Community College Accessibility Improvements

Coffman teamed with Chaffey Community College to solve accessibility issues resulting from the installation of a large 4.4 MW solar energy system across the College’s three campuses. Coffman’s civil engineers researched the identified accessibility requirements in the California Building Code (CBC) and coordinated with Division of the State Architect (DSA). This proactive approach helped us to inform our client about additional improvements, and provide creative design solutions to successfully complete the improvement project within budget and meet the fast paced schedule.

Civil engineering services included accessible Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) parking and accessible path of travel improvements associated with the photovoltaic canopy installations in eight parking lots across three campuses (Chino, Fontana, and Rancho).
