Boys & Girls Club of Orange County

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Orange County is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe and positive environment for children and teens. Coffman served as the structural engineering team for upgrades to three of their clubhouse locations in Newport Beach, Irvine, and Costa Mesa.

The existing clubhouses received interior and exterior improvements. Exterior improvements included a new building entrance canopy and exterior eyebrow features (Costa Mesa), a reworked roof framing creating a more inviting building entrance as well as rooftop mechanical unit supports (Newport Beach), and new window and door openings in exterior walls (Irvine). Interior improvements occurred primarily at the Costa Mesa location and consisted of reworking interior spaces including removal and relocation of interior bearing walls, columns, and shear walls.
