Alexandria Celgene Campus Pointe Renovation – Life Science Building

Coffman Engineers (as Hope-Amundson) provided the structural engineering services for this research and development facility. The project developer, Alexandria Real Estate Equities, is a corporate real estate solutions company headquartered in San Diego. Full tenant improvements within the existing two-story 146,000 sf office/laboratory building included biology, chemistry and lab support space, vivarium, NMR, library and cold rooms, as well as office and conference room functions. Exterior work consisted of a service yard housing an emergency generator, CO2 tank and LN2 tank and safety storage container. The tenant, Celgene Corporation, is a multinational biopharmaceutical company committed to improving the lives of patients worldwide. The project earned LEED Gold Level Certification for Core and Shell from the U.S. Green Building Council.
