Albany Marine Corps Logistic Base (MCLB) P977

Coffman provided fire protection engineering services for the P977 Vehicle Storage Warehouse project located at the Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) in Albany, Georgia. We served as Fire Protection Designer of Record (FPDOR) and Quality Control FPE (QCFPE) for this project. The roles and responsibilities of the FPDOR included design and construction oversight of the active and passive fire protection systems for the construction of a combat vehicle warehouse. The work performed provided a dehumidified warehouse for the storage of ground weapon system principal end items and associated collateral material. The structure has a low profile sloped roof to minimize the volume of interior space to be dehumidified. The structure is supported on a shallow foundation with a reinforced concrete slab on grade.
