West Coast Self Storage

Coffman provided structural, electrical, mechanical, and fire protection engineering for the design of three storage buildings and three parking canopies. The exterior of the buildings are made of reinforced masonry shear walls and the interiors are made of metal panel shear walls. The canopies were constructed of cantilevered steel columns. The interior metal panel shear walls reduced the thickness of the walls and allowed for maximum storage space. The storage area is ventilated and conditioned using split system heat pumps.

The Seattle office led the project with the support of the LA-Encino and San Diego offices to provide multidiscipline design support to the client.
