Vista Civic Center

Coffman provided structural engineering services for a new civic center in Vista, California. The three-story, 120,000 sf steel braced frame serpentine-shaped building features administrative offices, Vista City Council chambers, and the Building Planning Department.

An adjoining yet separate building serves as a community room and an emergency operations center (EOC). The main building is connected to the smaller EOC building with a pedestrian bridge. The four-acre project site was developed to accommodate a large public park and a 500-space parking lot.
