St. Francis Medical Center PCU Conversion

Coffman is providing the electrical, telecom, and audiovisual engineering services to convert the skilled nursing facility located on the second floor of the PCU Building at the St. Francis Medical Center campus in Lynwood into an adult psychiatric unit.

The project includes both exterior and interior improvements to the PCU Building. The interior remodel scope-of-work area totals approximately 21,250 sf including the first floor, second floor, and basement levels. The electrical design scope includes upgrading existing electrical utilities and existing telecom infrastructure, as well as adding a new 600 KW emergency generator to serve the building, three new bypass isolation automatic transfer switches emergency branches. The electrical design also replaces the existing main service switchboard with a new switchboard, adds a new building distribution frame (BDF) in the basement, and adds a new intermediate distribution frame (IDF) room on the second floor.
