P-403 Recruit Reconditioning Center and Barracks Renovation

Fire protection engineering services for the Recruit Reconditioning Center & Barracks Renovation project located at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, South Carolina. The project includes the partial demolition, renovation, and addition to an existing two-story barracks. Approximately half of the existing buildings will be demolished, while the remainder of the building will be renovated.

New single-story addition will be constructed adjacent to the existing barracks to house reconditioning space. The completed building will include four squad bays for housing recruits, company command offices, and SMIP and SMART Reconditioning spaces. Coffman serves as the Qualified Fire Protection Engineer (QFPE) for the project, including the design of the fire protection and fire alarm/mass notification systems.
