Orcutt Union School District Innovation Center

Orcutt Union School District (USD) is a place where “a dedicated staff means kids come first!” In 2018, Coffman provided Orcutt USD with structural engineering services for their new Innovation Center to house a district I.T. center.

The project is a Type V-B single-story wood framed structure with wood shear walls and concrete foundation designed to accommodate differential settlement. The project is located across the street from the Orcutt USD and was designed to fit between the existing Orcutt Junior High School Gym and the sidewalk. The 4,383 sf building includes training rooms, a headend room, office spaces, and a small side structure to house the mechanical generator and pump equipment.
