McMurdo & South Pole Fire Protection Site Inspections

Coffman was the fire protection engineer on the National Science Foundation (NSF) Design Team led by NAVFAC Pacific. Coffman was responsible for inspecting, testing, and commissioning all construction completed at McMurdo Station and the South Pole Station in Antarctica that occurred during the year. The review included more than a dozen buildings for fire and life safety compliance and included fire sprinklers, fire alarm systems, and fire pumps.
