Enso Village

Coffman, as RGD Acoustics, Inc., provided full acoustical design services for Enso Village, a life plan community created from a unique partnership between the San Francisco Zen Center and Kendal Corporation, a not-for-profit senior living provider. The 16-acre campus includes a total of 221 independent living units, 30 assisted living units, 24 memory care residences, and 480,000 sf of common areas. Amenities include a traditional Zendo meditation hall, a swimming pool, a salon, and a wide selection of wellness, fitness, and recreational programs. Design services included a site noise study including mitigation from the nearby freeway and future railroad station, sound isolation between living units, mechanical noise and vibration control, and room acoustic treatment to control excess sound reverberation in the dining facilities and other common amenity spaces.
