Pacific Northwest Fuel Terminal

Structural engineering for a new, 320 sf, design-build shed structure to provide protection for the existing Tank 117 hopper and conveyor assembly. Column supports and foundations for the new structure had to be carefully located between existing equipment and underground utilities. The shed is enclosed on three sides for weather protection and uses steel moment frames to provide open access on the North side for forklift access to the hopper and the overhead crane. Coffman worked directly with the contractor to provide a constructible design, which fit within the limitations of the project site.
