Coffman provided electrical engineering services for the construction of a 52-unit multi-family residential development with one subterranean parking garage, completed in 2021 just west of the Los Angeles River in Frogtown. The development includes two interconnected three-story, low-rise buildings sharing a 5,500 sf central courtyard and a community room, also connected above by bridges. The project contains five units for very low-income households and will provide 58 parking spaces. The technology systems designed as part of the electrical scope included access control, surveillance system, voice/data and WiFi, OM4 fiber system, and an intercom smartphone video entry system. The project required careful coordination with low voltage service providers including Spectrum and AT&T for the conduit routing design.
