14th & Commercial
The residential project at 14th and Commercial streets in San Diego is a special development that provides 407-units focused on permanent housing for homeless San Diegans and affordable housing units for qualified residents. Coffman provided fire protection services for the 14th & Commercial project which includes a new 14-story, high-rise residential apartment building, and a seven-story apartment building. The seven-story building will be built over two levels of podium parking. Owned by the nonprofit Father Joe’s Villages, the project location was previously used for one of the city’s large tented shelters and is a model project that has a large effect on the city’s efforts to reduce homelessness.
