Anchorage

Meet Nicholai.

Nicholai is a principal and electrical engineer in Coffman’s Anchorage office. Nicholai leads commercial and industrial design projects, including medium and low voltage power distribution, primary and standby generation, medium and low voltage protective relaying, industrial control system design, telecommunications, gas detection, project management, start up engineering, and providing owner engineering services. Nicholai is the Anchorage electrical department lead for all Marathon Petroleum Company and Eni US Operating Company projects.

Nicholai’s background in construction has been instrumental in his ability to deliver practical designs for complex, multidiscipline projects. As a project manager and lead engineer, he leads projects through all phases of development. He brings notable value to system commissioning and startup. He is also an AEE Certified Energy Auditor.

In 2020, Nicholai was selected by his peers for the Anchorage office Neil Pearson Award because he is “an excellent mentor, leader, and engineer who works hard to maintain positive relationships with clients and coworkers.”

Nicholai enjoys the many outdoor activities that Alaska has to offer. His primary passions are fly fishing for steelhead and rainbow trout, and hunting for Dall sheep, caribou, and mountain goats.
