Meet Nicholai.

Nicholai is a principal and electrical engineer in Coffman’s Anchorage office. Nicholai leads industrial, military, and commercial design projects, including medium and low voltage power distribution, primary and standby generation, medium and low voltage protective relaying, industrial control system design, telecommunications, gas detection, project management, start-up engineering, and providing owner engineering services. Nicholai is the Anchorage electrical department lead for all Marathon Petroleum Company and Hilcorp projects.

Nicholai’s background in construction has been instrumental in his ability to deliver practical designs for complex, multidiscipline projects. As a project manager and lead engineer, he leads projects through all phases of development. He brings notable value to system commissioning and startup with his experience in a wide variety of projects, including overhead and underground medium voltage line extensions, compression stations, pipeline shipping pump stations, pipeline leak detection, natural gas and crude oil production and processing facilities, refinery projects, LNG facilities, and tank farms. He is also an AEE Certified Energy Auditor.

Outside of Coffman, Nicholai enjoys the many outdoor activities that Alaska has to offer with his family. His primary passions are fly fishing, hunting, skiing, backpacking, and rafting.
