MEET KIMO

Kimo serves as the General Manager of Coffman’s Honolulu and Guam offices, where he leads the strategic direction, operations, and continued growth of both locations. With more than two decades of civil engineering experience in Hawaii, he is committed to developing people, strengthening client partnerships, and supporting a culture of collaboration. As a civil engineering Principal, Kimo also assists the civil engineering department managing existing clients and mentoring the next generation of engineers.

His experience includes master planned communities, commercial site design, roadway expansion, school and correctional facility improvements, master planning, and site analysis for private sector clients and state and local governments. Known for building lasting client relationships, Kimo works collaboratively with project teams, stakeholders, and agencies to resolve challenges and deliver successful project outcomes.

Kimo’s project experience spans a wide range of civil engineering services, including site development, infrastructure improvements, and complex entitlement and coordination efforts. He has supported projects of varying scale and complexity, providing practical solutions that balance technical requirements, regulatory considerations, and client goals. His leadership, technical experience, and client‑focused approach have made him a trusted advisor for long‑term development programs and public‑sector initiatives.

Kimo plays an active role in the engineering and development community through professional and civic involvement. He supports initiatives focused on education, housing, and community development, and contributes to leadership efforts that strengthen collaboration between public agencies and private partners.

Outside of work, Kimo enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons and staying active through golf, pickleball, beach activities, coaching his son’s soccer team, and exploring new travel destinations.

Kimo holds a BS in Physical Science from Southwestern University and BS in Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
