MEET Jami

Jamisen (Jami) is a civil engineering principal in the Honolulu office leading a fast growing department with her 20+ years of experience in the design industry. The cornerstone of her career is building and maintaining long-term client relationships. She goes the extra mile to try and best understand her client’s needs in order to deliver a successful project. She prides herself on working with many clients for over 20 years. Her design experience with site development spans many markets including private development, state and local government, and several sectors of the federal government.

In addition to keeping her clients a priority, Jami is focused on developing the skills and leadership of her civil engineering team. She understands the importance of succession and looks to pass her skills onto the next generation of engineers so they can define their own success. When joining Coffman, it was critical for Jami to find an organization that supports, promotes, and rewards success amongst its employees.

Before joining Coffman, Jami spent 22 years in a small family-owned consulting business. It afforded her the opportunity to learn the consulting business from the ground up. As an early participant in the design-build industry, she gained valuable knowledge working with contractors to help prepare winning bids and delivering successful on-time, on-budget projects. She continues to work with many of the same clients and teammates she first met early in her career.
