Meet Christopher
Chris is a practicing fire protection engineer and manages Coffman’s Phoenix office. Chris is an experienced project manager with 20+ years of experience in capital projects as a corporate engineer and managing design projects as a consultant, from conceptual design through construction administration. This includes leading the design of fire sprinkler, clean agent fire suppression, fire alarm, and smoke control systems. During construction administration he leads the inspection and commissioning of fire pumps, fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems, combination fire/smoke dampers, clean agent systems, and smoke control systems.
Chris’ background includes direct work experience managing fire protection maintenance and safety programs for manufacturing facilities of coated fabrics and flexographic packaging. In those roles, Chris gained experience working with the construction and installation of equipment, flammable and combustible liquids, hazardous materials, classified (hazardous) locations, high-piled storage, and combustible dust. Chris’ design experience includes senior living, residential, commercial, industrial, aviation, hazardous, healthcare, high-rise, and storage occupancies.
Chris has a Master of Science in Fire Protection Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University. Chris is a licensed Fire Protection Engineer in Arizona and a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
