MEET CARSTON

Carston is a civil engineering principal and a design and construction engineer with a background in commercial site development, transportation updates, industrial facilities, and oil and gas pipelines. Professionally licensed in multiple states, his design experience encompasses a wide variety of project types, including public transit facilities and their accompanying infrastructure; warehouses and manufacturing facilities; K-12 and higher education campuses; and commercial projects ranging from airport hangars to office spaces, multi-family residential, and sporting/recreation venues.

As an experienced project manager and civil engineer, Carston works on projects from conceptual design through construction administration and close-out while being heavily involved in all aspects of utility and site development from grading and storm water to utility design. He thrives in the dynamic world of design-build project delivery and brings streamlined collaboration, efficient communication, and effective coordination to the project team. Given Carston’s track record of delivering outstanding projects, he frequently assumes the role of the multidiscipline project manager on most of his design-build jobs.

Carston approaches each project with a focus on people. How can he provide mentorship to his coworkers and design colleagues? What support does our client need to be successful? How will our design impact the people using this facility or piece of infrastructure? These are some of the questions that he works through during the decision-making process throughout the life of the project. The dedication towards people, building strong relationships, providing excellent customer service, and creating a positive experience for end users is where Carston derives true joy from his work.
