Meet April
A respected leader in the design and construction industry, April Trafton brings significant experience to her role as a mechanical engineering principal advisor for Coffman’s Los Angeles offices. April’s career began with Donald F. Dickerson Associates (DFDA), where she served as President. In April 2024, DFDA joined Coffman, and their legacy continues through the team and experience they bring to Coffman.
April works closely with mechanical and engineering leadership and project engineers during project development from the early design stages through the completion of working drawings. April’s responsibilities include system design evaluation and control of production and scheduling of mechanical and electrical engineering projects. Her project involvement includes studies, calculations, design, specifications, reports and cost estimates delivered on time and within budget. Her ability to coordinate the efforts of the engineering staff throughout the project
design and plan check phases is due to her commitment to our clients and years of experience in the industry and profession.
In addition to technical oversight and project management, April nurtures client relationships through strategic business development and professional organization involvement.
April is a proud LA native and graduate of the California State University of Northridge and the UCLA Extention.
