Meet Andy

Andranik (Andy) Khechoumian is a respected engineer in his role as a principal advisor for Coffman’s Los Angeles offices. He is a licensed mechanical and electrical engineer in California, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Ohio, and Texas and is a certified member of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). Andy was formerly with Donald F. Dickerson Associates (DFDA), where he served as the Vice President. In April 2024, DFDA joined Coffman and their legacy continues through the team and experience they bring to Coffman.

Andy’s diverse engineering career began in 1985 with the mechanical and electrical design of schools, hospitals, shopping centers, business offices, apartment buildings, commercial facilities, parking structures, retrofits, mixed-use developments, and industrial systems. He has served as project manager, principal-in-charge, and engineer-of-record for the engineering and design development of a range of new and existing developments.

In addition to project management and technical design, Andy is a seasoned mentor. He focuses on developing a collaborative mindset and creating a hands-on experience for younger team members.

Andy received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Pacific Western University, California; a certificate in Fire Protection Engineering from the UCLA Extension; and a BS in Business Management from Woodbury University in Burbank.
