Northshore School District Concert Hall at Inglemoor High School
Coffman (as BRC) provided acoustical services for a new, 35,500 sf concert hall featuring 750 seats as well as classroom instruction space. The acoustics were one of the most vital parts of the project. Acoustical considerations were taken into account for the whole design of the building, such as the shape and the layout of the performance and learning spaces. Of note, a “shoe box” design was chosen because of its acoustical characteristics. There was also a buffer zone designed in the interior space to self-contain sounds to each space.
