Coffman Engineers and other mass timber professionals will be participating in the University of California’s panel on Mass Timber on June 22, 2023. Jonathan Wirthlin, PE, SE, Coffman’s Vice President and Managing Principal of the LA-OC Region, will be discussing the rapidly expanding mass timber industry. Other panelists include Mithun, Perkins+Will, and UC Risk Experts.

About the speaker:

Jonathan Wirthlin, PE, SE, Vice President & Managing Principal – Jonathan is the managing principal of the LA-OC Region and a licensed structural engineer. The LA-OC Region includes our Encino, Downtown Los Angeles, and Orange County offices. Jon has broad structural design experience that includes schools, hospitals, commercial office buildings, retail buildings, and multi-family residential structures of steel, concrete, concrete masonry, light gauge framing, and wood. Jon has developed a niche in seismic retrofits, acute care hospitals, and battery storage facilities projects. Jon’s collaborative management style focuses on maintaining Coffman’s core culture of diversity, equity, and life-work balance.
