Coffman engineers has made Fulton, Maryland our newest home!
The Washington, D.C. Metro office opened in May 2017 to support growing client demand for Coffman’s fire protection engineering services in the East.
The new office comes during an exciting time of growth for Coffman as we strategically increase our presence on the East Coast. In 2014, the addition of the fire protection service line and key leadership expanded Coffman’s geographic reach from the Western U.S. to Charleston, South Carolina, and Atlanta, Georgia in response to clients’ need for progressive fire and life safety services. The Washington, D.C. Metro office is the latest location in the company’s growth in the area.
“We are very excited about our recent expansion into the D.C. Metro area as it allows us to improve our responsiveness and service offerings to our growing client base in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast Regions. Our strategic initiative to develop fire protection engineering services throughout our company has also afforded us the opportunity to expand geographically, and given us the privilege of welcoming new, talented, fire protection engineers to the Coffman team,” said David Ruff, PE, CEO and President of Coffman Engineers.
The new office is led by operations manager Eric Apolenis, PE, who was born and raised in the D.C. area. He is joined by new team members: Renato Molina, PE, senior discipline engineer, fire protection, Bryan Derr, PE, fire protection engineer, and Jack Brady, senior project manager.
While currently focused on fire protection engineering services, the Washington, D.C. Metro office is supported by full multidiscipline capabilities from other Coffman offices, and will add multidiscipline staff as demand grows.
