Coffman Engineers is pleased to announce a $100,000 charitable contribution in support of the American Red Cross in 2021. This gift continues a strong partnership between the two organizations that began over a decade ago.
Coffman’s CEO and President, Dave Ruff, and Coffman Red Cross volunteers, Craig Lee and Tom Arnold presented the donation on behalf of the company to Megan Snow, American Red Cross Regional Philanthropy Officer on Wednesday, February 3rd.
“The American Red Cross mission and commitment to assist those in tragic situations, and just as importantly help avoid tragedy altogether, are values near and dear to Coffman and our employees. Especially after the challenges of last year and current weather events, we are grateful for the tireless work of the Red Cross organization and look forward to what our partnership can achieve this year,” said Ruff.
Coffman’s contribution would be allocated to support many of the American Red Cross’ most urgent and critical programs: the Home Fire Campaign which provides preparedness, response, and recovery support to home fire victims across the country; western wildfire disaster relief efforts; national disaster reliefs; and biomed operations including underwriting for COVID-19 antibody testing being performed on all American Red Cross blood and blood products donations at no cost to the public.
In 2020, Coffman made its single largest philanthropic donation in company history with a gift of $100,000 to the American Red Cross. This year’s gift of another $100,000 to the American Red Cross is part of Coffman’s core values to give back to the community. In addition to this financial donation, Coffman’s employees are committed to supporting American Red Cross events and volunteer efforts across the country with local chapters.
“Last year brought numerous challenges to our organization from supporting thousands of communities during historic wildfires across the west coast to continuing to provide lifesaving blood products during a global pandemic,” said Megan Snow, Regional Philanthropy Officer with the American Red Cross. “We are extremely grateful for Coffman’s continued support of our mission to serve our communities in the face of emergencies.”
