Meet Latrice

Latrice’s background includes work experience in commercial, industrial, higher education, and government facilities such as office buildings, medical facilities, energy conservation studies, clean rooms, masterplan studies, and commercial kitchens. Her projects have included a variety of low voltage (600V and below), medium voltage (13.2kV to 600V ), lighting, telecommunications, and security systems. As a discipline manager for the electrical engineering department, Latrice manages projects, mentors young engineers, and builds relationships with future partners in Texas and surrounding areas.

Latrice’s experience includes working on electrical and telecommunications projects in the United States, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE, Bahrain, and Iraq. Working on international projects has given her experience in international electrical codes and design requirements for international clients.

Coming from a military family has given her a unique perspective on federal projects. Highlights in her career include several years of experience on DoD projects and several years of Veteran Affairs projects. Having heard the statement “support the mission” many times in her life, she approaches projects with that mindset and considers it an honor to have a small part in their mission success.

Her greatest joy and the most critical part of her career is being a mentor. She strives to help the next generation of engineers receive the information and skills to be successful leaders and technical professionals.

In addition to enjoying her work as an engineer, Latrice’s favorite pastime is searching for and enjoying the best BBQ in town. There is certainly no shortage of that in Texas!
