Will has been with Coffman since 1980 and worked in multiple Coffman offices before moving to Anchorage in 1984. He became a shareholder in 1993, a director in 2000, served as the chair of the board from 2015-2021, and currently serves on Coffman’s executive committee and investment committee.
Will served as the chair of the board during a critical transition from the founder, Dave Coffman, to the next generation of leadership. As the chair of the board, Will focused on refreshing Coffman’s corporate documents and processes as necessary for a growing company, and the development of key committees to assist the board in decision making, with the goal of the board becoming increasingly strategic focused. He led the company through important decisions and changes that have been instrumental in Coffman’s success.
Will is a civil/structural engineering principal and splits his time between providing operational guidance on executive committees and ongoing engineering services to Alaska clients. His engineering focus is primarily on industrial facilities within the oil and gas industry and power generation industry.
