Don Iverson, PE

Principal Advisor, Mechanical Engineering

Meet Don

Don is a mechanical engineering principal advisor for the Seattle and Burlington offices. His primary focus is on quality assurance and staff education when it comes to his role in project engineering and commissioning teams. Don also works directly with clients in a consulting role, assisting with mechanical system investigations, decision making, troubleshooting and, again, quality assurance.

Don has decades of experience engineering complex mechanical systems in healthcare, institutional and major commercial facilities across all western states. He has served as engineer of record for dozens of major and hundreds of smaller new construction, remodel and system improvement projects. Don carefully navigates the need for reliable, energy efficient systems that must meet strict quality standards, and the ever increasing need to minimize cost.

Don has also been a significant contributor when it comes to establishing new codes, standards, and energy efficiency concepts.  His volunteer efforts have benefitted regional organizations including the Washington State Department of Health and Department of Commerce, the City of Seattle, the UW Integrated Design Lab, and multiple healthcare systems.
