Who thinks about kitchens when improving three floors of a five-story office building? Coffman does. Our mechanical and electrical TI work on this office building included a full-service kitchen and cafeteria. Kitchens mean grease, so we designed single-duct variable air volume terminal units and roof-mounted grease exhaust fans along with an exterior grease vault for the kitchen sinks. Tenants in this building didn't need to worry about unwanted stains from stray grease.
There was more to this project than greasy kitchens. In this 110,400 sf building there were large training rooms, locker/shower facilities, daylight controls and art lighting in the dining area, cafeteria lobby, and common areas by the training rooms.
